10.1“ Sunlight Readable LCD: Solving Display Failures in Extreme Environments

Table of Content [Hide]

Why Most 10.1" Displays Fail in the Field

If your current 10.1" screen washes out or becomes yellow or display abnormally under direct sunlight, or if the touch interface "ghosts" and fails at -20°C, your equipment is useless to the end-user. For outdoor EV chargers, medical monitors, and rugged industrial panels, "standard" specs aren't enough.

The PV10109LZR40G-CO was engineered to solve three specific field failures:

    • Visibility: 850 nits(Up to 1000nits) to prevent midday screen "washout."

    • Working Temperature: -30°C to +80°C range to stop winter blackouts and summer overheating

Interference: Industrial-grade touch IC to prevent "ghost touches" near high-voltage power.

High-Brightness & IPS: Visibility Beyond "Standard"

Standard 250-nit displays are unreadable outdoors. The PV10109LZR40G-CO provides a 850 cd/m² (Typical) brightness, making it a true Sunlight Readable module.

Equipped with IPS (In-Plane Switching) technology, it offers 85/85/85/85 viewing angles. Whether the user is standing directly in front of an EV charger or looking at a medical monitor from a side angle, the resolution (1280x800) stays sharp and the colors remain accurate with zero color shift.

Special UV cut polarizer to prevent direct sunlight damaging.  Special ink to print on the cover glass to prevent washing out, Special OCA to prevent UV light.

    Work Temperature:  -30°C to +80°C

Industrial reliability is defined by the operating temperature. Most consumer-grade LCDs black out at +50°C or freeze at 0°C. Our module is built with an industrial-wide temperature range:

    • In Freezing Cold (-30°C): The LCD fluid is optimized to prevent slow response times and ghosting.

    • In Extreme Heat (+80°C): Prevents the "blackening effect" common in standard panels under high thermal stress.

    Precision Touch Control: G+G & ILI2511 IC

To prevent touch failure in noisy industrial environments, we utilize a G+G (Glass-on-Glass) capacitive touch structure paired with the ILI2511 industrial touch IC. It features high EMC/EMI immunity and up to 6mm tempered cover glass with 6H hardness.  Corning glass available

AG / AF / AR / Anti-UV treatment are available
