If you are looking for a circular open frame LCD display to build into a smart thermostat, a wall-mounted control panel, or any connected home device, Kingtech has a ready-to-use module that fits. Our open frame series gives you a round IPS screen, capacitive touch, plastic frame, HDMI board and plug-and-play driver support — everything you need to go from prototype to production without wrestling with display drivers or custom mounting brackets.

You can choose from six models across three screen sizes. Each one comes in two versions: Integrated Black (built for indoor products where low-profile looks matter) and Standard (built for brightness, up to 1,000 nits). Our open frame display is with HDMI board and you can just connect it with Raspberry Pi directly.

(3.4inch open frame)
Size | Resolution | Brightness | Touch Panel |
3.4" | 800 x 800 | 320 - 1,000 nits | Tempered glass (2.5D on Integrated Black) |
4.0" | 720 x 720 | 500 - 1,000 nits | Tempered glass (2.5D on Integrated Black) |
7.0" | 1080 x 1080 | 400 - 1,000 nits | Tempered glass (2.5D on Integrated Black) |
All models use an IPS panel and support 10-point capacitive touch. The viewing angle is 170 degrees, so your screen stays readable even when it is mounted high on a wall or glanced at from the side.
If you can’t find your interested product in our list, you are welcome to contact us. We can custom made according to your requirements too.
We bond the LCD, the touch sensor, and the cover glass into one layer with no air gap. What this means for your product: black areas actually look black, there is no internal reflection washing out the screen, and dust or moisture will never creep in between the layers. This is standard on every module — not an optional upgrade.
If your device goes outdoors — an EV charger, a gate controller, a patio panel — pick the Standard version. It pushes 1,000 nits of brightness. A customer standing in direct sunlight can read your interface without squinting. For indoor-only products, the Integrated Black versions at 320 to 500 nits give you a more power-efficient option with the same visual quality.
These modules operate from -20°C to 70°C. Whether your product ships to Norway or Dubai, the display will turn on and work the same way.
You do not need to write a display driver. Connect the Micro HDMI cable for video. Connect the USB-C cable for touch and power. That is it.
Every Raspberry Pi model is supported, from the Zero 2 W to the Pi 5. If you are prototyping on a Pi and plan to move to a custom board later, you can validate your entire UI on the Pi first and switch hardware later without changing the display.
• Smart home. Wall-mounted thermostats, lighting controllers, intercom panels, security keypads. The round shape fits naturally into home interiors and gives your product a softer look than a rectangular screen.
• Consumer electronics. Smart speakers, AI assistant devices, portable media players, kitchen timers. The 4-inch size hits the right balance between screen real estate and compact design.
• Automotive and EV. Motorcycle dashboards, aftermarket car audio displays, charging station screens. The 1,000-nit Standard models are built for direct sunlight.
• Industrial. Machine interfaces, robotic control panels, outdoor kiosks. The -20°C to 70°C range and durable tempered glass front hold up in harsh environments.

• 20 years of LCD manufacturing experience. We have seen most integration challenges and know how to solve them.
• IATF16949 and ISO13485 certified. The process control behind your display meets automotive and medical standards — even if your product does not require it.
• Full documentation from day one. 3D CAD drawings for your mechanical team, driver packages for your firmware team, and integration guides that walk through mounting and wiring.
• OEM flexibility. Need a custom brightness, a different cover glass finish, or a specific connector layout? We adjust to your product spec — you are not locked into an off-the-shelf configuration.
Whether you are sketching out a concept or finalizing your BOM, we can send you a sample kit with everything you need to test the display in your own enclosure.
