The LCD touch display screen works by utilizing the body's electric current induction. It is a four-layer composite glass screen, and each inner and sandwich layer of the glass screen is coated with a layer of ITO. The outermost layer is a thin layer of silicon glass protective layer, and the sandwich ITO coating serves as the working surface. There are four electrodes drawn out at the four corners, and the inner ITO acts as a shielding layer to ensure a good working environment.
When the finger touches the metal layer, a coupling capacitor is formed between the user and the LCD touch screen surface due to the body's electric field. For high-frequency current, the capacitor is a direct conductor, so the finger draws a very small current from the contact point. This current is flowing out of the four electrodes on the touch screen, and the current flowing through these four electrodes is proportional to the distance from the finger to the four corners. The controller calculates the precise proportions of the four currents to determine the position of the touch point.
Previous LCD touch screens had technical problems such as low resolution and limitation in touch methods. However, with the continuous development of display technology, the transmittance and resolution of LCD touch displays have significantly improved. Currently, a resolution of 1080*1920 or even higher can be achieved.
The LCD touch display screen supports two touch methods: capacitive and resistive. However, capacitive touch is currently more widely used due to its sensitivity, which supports highly intelligent recognition and can recognize various industrial gloves, medical gloves, and touch with wet hands, etc. It can also enhance explosion-proof function.
